Welcome to the Last Splash of Summer

Meet Information

This year Last Splash of Summer includes the 2 Mile Wetsuit, 2 Mile No-Wetsuit, 1 Mile Wetsuit, 1 Mile No-Wetsuit, 1 Mile FIN Wetsuit (1 Mile), 1 Mile FIN No-Wetsuit (1 Mile), 500 Yards Wetsuit, 500 Yards No-Wetsuit, 500 Yards FIN Wetsuit, and 500 Yards FIN No-Wetsuit events for both adults and kids. Last Splash of Summer will be held Saturday, September 19th, 2026 at Lake Meridian in Kent, WA.

This is the last open water swim of the season! The average temperature expected to be in the mid 60's in mid-September.

The first 150 swimmers to enter will receive a large open water buoy.

10 and unders must swim 500

* 10 - 12 year olds that want to swim the mile need to submit the name of their coach and swim club as well as submit records (proof) they've swam a 500 in a USA Swim meet in a time of 7:30 or faster including the name of the meet and date. Rules

The use of neoprene wetsuits or other nonporous attire is allowed in the wetsuit events. Fins are allowed in the 1 mile FIN event. Fins must be no longer than 12" and no mono fins allowed. Pull buoys, snorkels, mp3 players are examples of items NOT allowed. 500 Meter is a no-wetsuit event.

Last Splash of Summer is NOT a USMS sanctioned event. We will follow the open water rules of USMS. To view USMS complete rules for open water events please visit USMS Rules and Regulations at http://www.usms.org/rules/.

Age Determination

AGE: Age will be determined by your age as of December 31st.

Registration is through RunSignUp.com.

Registration closes 11:59 PM PST on Thursday, 09/17/2026 OR when the event is full. Maximum athletes for the event is 300.

Cancellation Policy

Open water registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Giveway

Swimmers this year will receive a large swim buoy. Swim buoys are great to keep important items with you and also keep them dry. A must have for all open water swimmers.

7:30 am Check-in and Registration Opens
8:30 am Mandatory Meeting for ALL swimmers
8:40 am Chip check-in and warmups
9:00 am START 2 Mile Events
9:10 am START 1 Mile Events (NOT FIN Events) *
9:20 am START 1 Mile FIN Events *
10:00 am START 500 yards when the course has been cleared
* The 1 Mile events MAY BE combined, depending on how many swimmers we have.

Lake Meridian is a fresh-water lake located in Kent. Lake Meridian features a large covered shelter, a playfield, restrooms, swimming beach, fishing and a boat launch.


DIRECTIONS FROM NORTH OF RENTON: Take 167 South to Kent. Take 84th Ave S Exit. Turn Left onto Central. Follow Central to E Smith St, turn Left. This is WA-516. At the top of the hill the road changes names to SE 256th St. At the intersection of SE 256th St and 104th Ave SE the road will Y, stay to the right. This road is SE Kent Kangley Road. Lake Meridian park will be on your left hand side.

DIRECTIONS FROM THE SOUTH: Take I-5 North to WA-18 East (Auburn), Exit WA-516 W / SE 272nd St Covington, at the exit take a left. Lake Meridian will be on your right hand side.
